Volunteering
Shakti Peetam & Spiritual Center of NA in Chester Springs, PA USA has been a one hundred percent volunteer driven and managed organization since 1996. The goal is to continue maintaining it this way.

Being a volunteer for Shakti Peetam helps the temple and allows college/high school students to gain exposure and experience to working in a religious, non-profit, charitable, educational, and culturally focused environment. It also aids in adding character to the personality of individuals.

The temple allows individuals many volunteering opportunities for both kids and adults. Please see the list below and fill out the form to join! At the end of the school year, all junior volunteers will be getting a Certificate of Service and Recognition for the kids. This will be an excellent addition to profiles and help kids get into the colleges of their choice.

All volunteers will be observed and evaluated for their leadership, dedication, commitment to completing tasks, communication, problem solving, willingness to serve the society, collaboration, creativity, listening skills.

Volunteering Opportunities
1
Religious Services
Friday evening- storing flowers in water containers (30 min per week).
Saturday morning- join the decoration team to make garlands for Mother AdhiParaSakthi. This will be available from 9:00 AM to 12:00 at noon (select your time), only needed once a week.
Sunday morning- Washing and cleaning Pooja vessels like lamps, arti plates, needed once a week.

Technology Services
Website redesign, development, testing and implementation-there is no due date, spend personal time to do, but volunteers for this section are expected to complete at least 1 to 2 hours per week.
Video production for YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook publications. Be able to cover the special events and festivals. Every Saturday covers the weekly ritual in shorts (YouTube) and Reels(Instagram) with relevant information. Special topics on spirituality to educate general publication – a periodic exercise.

General Administration
Taking, recording and maintaining inventory of essential items in Shakti Peetam (list of items will be given). If anyone is interested in learning and practicing Shakti Sadhana, please come forward to learn and engage in performing religious services in Shakti Peetam. Learning will include - winding Kalasam (you can engage for one hour per week to make and install Kalasam for the weekly ritual), mantra recitation, Aarthi, doing dhrishti, etc.

Cultural Services
Shakthi Peetam and Spiritual Centre's Cultural Committee hosts various events, including Amma's Birthday, Aadipooram, Ganesh Chathurthi, Navaratri, and Diwali. These events aim to unite communities and showcase diverse cultural expressions. Youth programs promote traditional values and preserve Indian music and dance. Financial Operations
First Saturday of every month prepare, and mail receipts to donors. Maintain electronic record (training will be provided).

Editorial Board
If you have passion for writing and English, please join our ERAB (Editorial Review and Approval Board) responsible for publishing documents like SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure), Public Relations documents like letters, invitations, flyers etc.

Facilities & Infrastructure Management(FIM)
Volunteer to manage our 24.5-acre property including but not limited to preventive maintenance, landscaping, keeping things in order, storage, etc.

Charity Services
Lead and coordinate with local charity organizations and Shakti Peetam Patrons to complete relevant charity activities to help the less privileged people especially women and children.
